I met with a trading company named Beijing M Fresh High Tech Co., Ltd.(北京市亿朗科技有限公司) over alibaba.com for importing air cleaners. I opened this blog to share my first experience with this company.
After we negotiated on prices, we decided to import goods. We ordered 100 PCS ozone generator(1900USD) from this company for test order. It was little bit urgent for my customer so we preferred DHL company(1000USD) for carrier.
Even i gave them all the addresses correct and transferred money(2900USD) by TT, they prepared wrong AWB with tracking number 8731571833. They also didn't show me draft of bill of lading or AWB before
sending. My mistake was; i trusted them about preparing AWB.
Because of they are lack of knowledge, i tried to helped them but they didn't take attention to my words. Salesperson went to holiday in second day without giving any information to other salesperson or manager. I needed to call their company and tried to explain other salespersons. Helen did prepare my invoice so well but bill of lad was not correct. As you see in the attachement in second page, to and from parts are totally wrong. There must be changed to the correct ones.
As you see in prepared invoice ; there are two addresses : one is importer company another one is delivery address.
Person in the delivery address can not pick our package from custom because he has no company. So , to make the things clear and for helping to you i am going to receive items to my company then i need to pay more money for transportation. This is also no problem until products reach to my customer.
In the second page of awb, in ' FROM ' section your company name(mfresh ltd etc.)must be written and in ' TO ' section in draft our company name(Mh dis ticaret etc..) must be written. I tried to answer some of your questions below ;
How to solve problem?
1 - Bill of lading is our goods identity . We can say visa for non-humans. For changing it ; one of your representative must visit Turkey affairs with that file in the attachement and prepare decleration in there. There is a woman whose name is Ms. Lin in there, she already know our situation and also Mr. Minister. Ms. Lin will explain to you how to prepare that decleration and what to do.
2 - After you received that, you need to contact with DHL agent to send this decleration with correct awb to related Turkey custom. When Turkey dhl custom receives new approved bill of lad, i can deal with rest of it.
Why Helen can not solve my problem? Why i don't call Helen?
Helen is still thinking that if she prepares new invoice and contacts with Dhl. DHL can solve her problem. But the point is you are the exporter company is you and new decleration must be done by your company's representative's visit to Turkish affairs. She can not visit a physical address in front of monitor. Please also call her and learn details. My chinese is not enough good.
Why i insist to contact with your manager or VP?
This is our first business relationship between my company and your company. I asked many times to Helen that can she deal with that or not. Because it was a dropshipping operation. I told to her to receive assist from your sales manager or any specialist. She insisted me that she can deal with that then she left to hanzhou without giving any information to anyone in your company. Thats why i am trying to explain to you what happened from the beginning and one more day died because of that. I can write your bosses in their mother language by my interpreters. Other strange thing that; you can not reach Helen's company inbox.
In current situation, why DHL agent can not help us?
DHL is a transportation company. Not a foreign trade expert or export specialist. We need to contact with them in second step after we received new bill of lad decleration. As Helen said, it was DHL worker's mistake but you are the exporter company. This is enough clear.
Why this happened? Whose mistake is this?
We don't have time to discuss this now. This is already happened. My goods are staying in DHL custom and everyday costs money. My customer request his money back and i am really in hard situation.
What if same thing happens next time?
Please let me see draft of AWB before sending.

They blamed DHL company then they said it is not their mistake. Although it was their mistake , they also tried to blame me cheekily.
Their young and non-experienced sales person named Helen Zhou told to me to send her sales contract to solve problem then we prepared sales contract to solve issue. I sent sales contracts(75USD paid to fedex) to them by fedex company with tracking number 8000 8156 4630. Even they received my letter, they didn't reply to me.
More than one week later, they decided to visit China Chamber of commerce and they wanted 3249RMB from me to fix that problem without shame.
If you check AWB in the attachement, you can clearly see FROM address is another company's address. I called sender number(+8676922823118) over AWB then i discovered that, it is not their company.
As my lawyer said, they may did it on purpose not to send cargo back. When i asked to them , their
answer was too simple ; "This is not important".
During these disasters are happening, I asked them many times 1000USD DHL receipt. They didn't send me any clear invoice about they paid that 1000USD to DHL company. I am also suspecting that I cheated by Helen or her company.
I tried many times to contact their manager to solve issue in peaceful way but s/he never tried to contact to me. Helen also never gave her/his manager's contact information.
Result :
Main monetory lost : 2900USD
Banking Charge : 100USD
Fedex(Sales Contract Sent) : 75USD
3075USD (Except lawyer consulation fee, international phone calls etc..)
